The Santa Experience
Ho, Ho, Ho! Welcome to one of the most magical experiences of the holiday season. From the moment your family walks into the studio, you’ll be surrounded by the sights, sounds, and excitement of Christmas with twinkling lights, festive décor, holiday music, and seasonal treats in the studio reception area. Children will have the opportunity to write a letter to Santa before being welcomed with their parents into Santa’s cozy portrait room for their special time with him.
The Santa Experience photos are centered around genuine interaction and connection rather than stiff posing. Children are encouraged to chat with Santa, share their wish lists, ask questions, and simply enjoy the experience. Our real-bearded Santa, complete with twinkling eyes, a nose like a cherry, and a beautiful classic custom suit, brings warmth, kindness, and authenticity that children immediately connect with.
These special sessions are held in my Plano studio each November, with booking opening in early July. Each appointment lasts 10 minutes and includes 5 edited high-resolution digital images selected by you from your gallery. Additional images are available for purchase after gallery delivery.

"We are driving home and I cannot get over how lovely that experience was - the entire set up, your calmness (my frazzled self!), the professionalism of it all, the treats and letters to Santa for the kids - can we please do Santa photos with you our whole life long?! That was so wonderful!! Thank you so so much!!!"

FAQ
What should my children wear?
Classic holiday colors like red, green, cream, navy, and plaid photograph beautifully with Santa. Smocked outfits, velvet dresses, knit sweaters, plaid button-down shirts, bow ties, timeless Christmas pajamas, and other festive styles are always wonderful choices. While the set is neutral, keep in mind that Santa will be wearing his traditional red suit with white fur trim, so you may want to steer away from solid red outfits. I also offer a client closet with some beautiful Christmas options.
Can parents be in the photos?
Parents are welcome to hop in for a photo or two during the session, especially if your little one is feeling a bit nervous or needs some extra reassurance. Just keep in mind that the Santa set is designed with children in mind, so space may be limited with larger families.
What if my child is shy or cries?
Every child reacts to Santa differently, and that's completely okay! I never force interactions and always let your child set the pace. Before your session, you'll complete a short questionnaire where I'll ask how you'd like me to handle tears. Some parents prefer to comfort their child right away, while others love those memorable "crying with Santa" photos. I'll always follow your lead so the experience is just right for your family.
If your little one becomes upset, we can have Santa step out for a few minutes and capture some portraits of your child on the Christmas set. I want every family to leave with images they love, no matter how the session unfolds.
Can we bring a letter to Santa or a special item?
Yes! Letters to Santa, a favorite Christmas book, an heirloom ornament, or a beloved stuffed animal can make your session even more personal. I'll also have a special area with stationery, envelopes, crayons, stickers, and a special mailbox where children can write or draw a letter to Santa before their visit. If your child has already created a letter at home, they're welcome to bring it along instead.
Santa sessions are also a fun way to announce a pregnancy or reveal your baby's gender! If you're planning a special surprise, let me know in advance and I'll be happy to incorporate it into your session.
