Milestones
Milestone sessions are a simple and timeless way to document your baby’s first two years. Designed for babies ages 3–24 months, these studio sessions focus on capturing your little one’s growing personality and all the exciting stages in between, whether that’s tummy time, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, birthdays, holidays, or anything else you want to remember.
Sessions take place in my natural light studio and are designed to keep the focus on your baby. The studio features a variety of thoughtfully selected furniture and props, including a white high chair, mini crib, seamless backdrops, birthday banners and hats, cake stands, and more. Clients also have access to a carefully curated wardrobe with hundreds of traditional clothing pieces available for use during their session. Smash cakes and balloons may be provided for an additional fee, or families are welcome to bring their own.

What age is best for a milestone session?
Milestone sessions are designed for babies and toddlers from 3 months to 2 years old. Popular ages include 3–4 months for tummy time and smiles, 6–8 months when babies are sitting independently, 9–10 months for crawling and standing, 11–12 months to celebrate that exciting first birthday, and 18–24 months to capture your toddler's growing personality, curiosity, and sense of adventure.
The truth is, there's no wrong age! Every stage brings new milestones, expressions, and little details you'll never want to forget.
What should my baby wear?
Soft, neutral colors perfectly complement my light and bright studio and style. Classic pieces such as bubbles, jon jons, knit rompers and sets, simple dresses, overalls, and heirloom-inspired outfits create a timeless look that keeps the focus on your little one.
Every milestone session includes access to my curated client wardrobe, featuring a large selection of timeless outfits for babies and toddlers. Whether you choose something from the wardrobe or bring your own, I'm always happy to help you select pieces that complement my style and create beautiful, timeless portraits.
What props do you provide?
The studio is thoughtfully stocked with a curated collection of timeless props designed to keep the focus on your child. You'll have access to a white wooden high chair, cribs, bassinets, a beautiful daybed with classic white bedding, couches and chairs in soft neutral tones, stools, benches, a white rocking horse, a child's rocking chair, a clean white seamless backdrop, simple wooden toys, and classic first birthday touches like ONE banners and birthday hats.
My collection is always growing, and I carefully choose pieces with a timeless, heirloom-inspired style so your images will never feel overly themed or trendy.
Can we do a cake smash?
Yes, I encourage it! You're welcome to bring your own cake, and I'm happy to help coordinate colors and styling to complement the overall look of your session.
I also provide a variety of cake stands in different sizes and styles, and you're welcome to use my classic white high chair, which is especially adorable for cake smash portraits. If you prefer a more relaxed look, we can also photograph the cake smash on the floor using one of my simple studio setups.
Do you provide cake and balloons?
For added convenience, I'm happy to provide a coordinating balloon arrangement for your session for an additional fee so everything is ready when you arrive. Due to food allergies and dietary restrictions, I ask that families provide their own smash cake. I'm always happy to offer recommendations for simple cake designs that complement the style of your session.
